Setting up equipment and configuring testing
settings and inspect completed work to
ensure all hardware is tight, antennas are
level, hangers are properly fastened, proper
support is in place, or adequate weather
proofing has been installed.
Check and run appropriate power, ground, or
coaxial cables.
Connect and test underground or aboveground
grounding systems to perform drive and walk
tests.
Collect RF drive or walk test data at a site
and (or) cluster level and submit post
process.
Analysis of and drive testing data using RF
data collection tools - TEMS, XCAL etc.
E911 calling, hardware monitoring,
troubleshooting, interference analysis and
optimization.
Perform test of tower transmission
components, using sweep testing tools or
software.
Read work orders, blueprints, plans,
datasheets, or site drawings to determine
work to be done.
Perform test components of malfunctioning
telecommunications equipment to isolate
sources of malfunctions, using test meters,
circuit diagrams, polarity probes, and other
hand tools.
Submit reports related to project status,
progress, or other work details, using
computer software.
This position does not have supervisory
duties.
Requirements: High School
Diploma or equivalent required and one (1) year
of proven experience in a similar role or in any
related positions that provided the required
skills and abilities.
Qualified applicants must also have knowledge
with the following:
Working knowledge of wireless
technology.
Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel,
Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Completion of a clean Drug and Alcohol
Screening Test.
Completion of a satisfactory Criminal and
Employment Record Check.
